IUCC, Bromley, is excited to announce “Firefighters Appreciation Day” – a special service dedicated to the recognition of Firefighter/EMS personnel who provide Fire/EMS protection to the City of Bromley and the IUCC congregation during the continuing public health-care crisis, as well as those who in the past provided that protection. Members of the Ludlow Fire Department, Crescent Springs/Villa Hills Fire & EMS and the former Bromley Volunteer Fire Department have been invited to attend this celebratory service.
The program is scheduled to begin at 10:45 AM on Sunday, October 3rd, and will also serve to bring attention to and awareness of National Fire Prevention Week – Sunday, Oct. 3 – Saturday Oct. 9, 2021.
Bring a friend, family member or neighbor and join us on Sunday, October 3rd, for a program that will include a presentation by Chief Jeff Pohlman (Fire Chief Alexandria Kentucky Fire Department, Past President of the Kentucky Firefighters Association, recent inductee into the Kentucky Firefighters Hall of Fame, and a former member of the Bromley Fire Department). Also presenting will be Ms. Patty Grimes (Crescent Springs/Villa Hills Fire & EMS, retired and a former member of the Bromley Volunteer Fire Department). The Program will also include special music provided by “Fireman Joe” Stambush (a Bromley native, a former member of the Bromley Volunteer Fire Department and current member of the Melbourne Volunteer Fire Department), and Dr. Bennyce Hamilton (Cincinnati Fire Department, retired).
Immediately following the service, lunch will be served in the fellowship hall. The meal, prepared by “IUCC Top Chef” Bill Doyle, will be at no cost and will consist of mashed potatoes, roast beef, salad and desserts.
Mark your calendars, invite your friends, family and neighbors and don’t miss this exciting and much deserved “Firefighters Appreciation Day” at IUCC, Bromley.
